Red Dawn Redux ?

What? That's like either the best or worst movie poster of all time. I haven't made up my mind yet. It's prolly the worst. It could be the best though. Hard to say. Here's the scoop though..

"Red Dawn," John Milius' 1984 tale of a group of American rebels fighting Soviet forces, is a candidate for a remake, studio toppers Harry Sloan and Mary Parent revealed Saturday at the American Pavilion in Cannes.

It might be a canidate? That's like movie talk for they are for sure going to do it right? I sure hope so. I can't live another day without a remake of Red Dawn. They can dedicate it to Patrick Swayze. That's what they'd do if they were classy.

Joe and I went to this totally Portland scruffo-kid art show and one of the artists did an all-Swayze installation. The cancer of Swayze inspired him. "Red Dawn" was mentioned. There was a painting of Swayze with his wanger hanging out. Kinda gay. But poignant.
