Movie Review: Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull

Of all the Indiana Jones movie this is prolly like the third best. It's better then the one with Sean Connery but not as good as Raiders or Temple Of Doom. Temple scores points just with that awesome name. The Temple Of DOOM! what a awful name for a place but also appropriate in a way. Not for Indie and them but there must have been literally tons of dead kids coming out of there on a weekly basis. Ugh. That's gross. They were doomed from the womb.

Anyhow this was a fun movie. It gets a bit talky in the middle. Zelly got bored and started looking around at the people sitting behind us. I turned her back around and the action picked up and all was good in the hood. There is a lot of CGI and I'm not really a fan of that stuff but it's a sign of the times so no point in railing against progress, again.

The deal is that there are these crystal skulls and they are all mysterious and whatever. The Russians want them for some kind of mind control deal or it was like the key to eternal knowledge. Some such deal. I don't want to give too much away by examining it closely.

I had fun. It was cool man. A good Indiana Jones flick. It had stunts and caves and spiders and snakes. All that stuff. It's a lot like Rocky Balboa, the Rocky flick that came out last year, in that it revisits old characters and old themes and kind of puts a cap on the story in a satisfying way. You'll leave happy. I did. I think everyone did. Prolly not everyone but most everyone, I guess.

Cate Blanchett is pretty rad. I guess she's pretty rad overall but in this one she's extra rad. She rocks this groovy little haircut and looks all creepy with her big blue eyes. There's one part where her and Shai Lebouf are standing up in cars next to each other. The cars are moving BTW and the two of them are fighting. Well, she's just smacking the crap out of him with these awesome Karate style moves. Chops and whatever. it's funny. She takes his greaser ass to school on the real. I like Kate. She was cool in that Wes Anderson movie with Bill Murray.

Outside of that I don't really know what to say. It was good. See it if you want. If it's not your thing then go and see something else. There are a lot of good flicks out right now. Take a chance on one of them. Go see Narnia or whatever. That might not be the right movie for someone who doesn't like Indiana Jones. Try Dave Mamet's Jiu-Jitsu movie, Redbelt. Me and my man Greg went to see it. It was alright. He liked it a lot more then I did but I thought that it was pretty good.

Here's some pics of Cate. She's 39 and pretty good looking. I've always been a fan.

Alright, your not a pole-smoker. The pics of the lovely and inspiring Cate more than make up for the fact that you sicked Jardine on my junk...wait, if he actually shows up I might have to take that back.
