EPMD Rampage Video

Man, I love me some EPMD. Erick and Parish Makin' Dollars, later transformed to Erick and Parish MILLION DOLLARS, which they claimed they stacked. Maybe, like between the two of them. Well, Eric produced a TON of artists in that era, Das EFX, Redman, K-Solo, Illegal, Kieth Murray and like seemingly every other dude that was around then. Maybe HE made a million dollars but I sort of have my doubts about Parrish Smith. I'm just saying...

Anyway, Rampage, the song here in that video is like one of my FAVORITE SONGS OF ALL TIME! I think it's number two or three on my MP3 player top song list. It get's a lot of play at the gym.  It's cool for weight lifting cause they rap about busting on fools and how cool they are and LL Cool J makes a guest appearance with some lyrics about shooting off fools cowboy pants.

I remember like how you never see LL in the video at all so dudes were wondering if he was in it all or if that was an LL impersonator. I was in the group that was of the opinion that it had to be him. Who could ever imitate Uncle L? And I was sure that Def Jam would never do that to me. I loved some Def Jam back then but watching it now I'm not sure that I was right. If you had L there wouldn't you want to show him on camera? Otherwise why bother asking him to come in? Maybe he had a boil on his cheek or some shit.

Just noticed that right after Parish's verse the do a close up on a young, too much make up having Jennifer Lopez. That's awesome. I wonder if she blew Erick Sermom after the video shoot.

Here is a link to a pretty cool demo version of the song that I found on some mixtape.. It's pretty cool. Unearthed EPMD... It's only LL and Parish but come on dude. That's pretty awesome... RAMPAGE unreleased version MP3
