Three Video Game Catalogs
Me and the wife hit up The Dig this morning. We didn't get up on anything great. I scored A couple of Croquet balls and a wooden box that I can use in the garage to hold smallish items. Maritza got a big laundry basket for my closet. Nothing great.
The place was like Storage Wars today. Everyone was talking about flipping this and selling that on ebay. A bunch of dudes went in together on a two hundred dollar garbage can full of Legos. I overheard them say that it was worth at least a thousand at the flea market. I really doubt that. A thousand dollars worth of Legos? Maybe if there are a bunch of the Lego men in it. Like the Harry Potter ones or the Batman ones. I saw some of them selling for a grip of loot at this toy show in San Jose.
So we went over there and then picked up some coffees at 7-11 before heading over to this second hand store in Roseland that we like. The owner's name is Dave and he has an assortment of new things like canned goods and office supplies that look like they fell off the back of a truck into one of his associates arms to older stuff like records and comic books. It's a cool store. I've gotten tons of things there over the years like carded action figures and this really sweet Star Trek cereal bowl breakfast set with a little mug.
While looking around in a bin full of old Sports Illustrated I came up on those three catalogs up there. I like old catalogs. It's neat to see how the games or toys or whatever were presented back in the day. I'll scan some of the pages in over the next few weeks or so. I kind of just wanted to get something posted today. Keep the momentum going. Anyway, I found those catalogs and maybe 10 Atari 2600 manuals that I'll get some pics of too. I gots like, Real Sports Baseball and Football, Phoenix, Night Driver, Yar's Revenge and a few others. I'm going to put them into comic book bags and hang them on the wall in the garage. I think so anyway.
